A bit about me and how I work

I am a warm, compassionate and empathic therapist based in South London, working in-person, online and on the telephone with clients across the UK. I offer therapy in a collaborative, respectful and non-judgmental way, creating a safe space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. I believe deeply in the power of therapy and the meaningful difference it can make to our emotional wellbeing and quality of life.

My journey into therapy was shaped by my earlier career in journalism and photojournalism. I spent many years as a senior leader in a global news agency, covering some of the most iconic and challenging news stories of our time. Through this work, I witnessed first-hand the emotional toll that exposure to distressing imagery and high-pressure environments can take. Over time, I experienced burnout and emotional disconnection, and became increasingly aware of the strain my work was placing on both my mind and body. After leaving the industry and taking time to reflect, I decided to retrain as a therapist. My lived experience continues to inform my work and has given me a deep understanding of how challenging workplace experiences can affect our mental health and emotional stability.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring our work to suit your individual needs. I am naturally drawn to a person-centred way of working, placing you at the heart of the process and building a trusting therapeutic relationship. My aim is to offer a calm, supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore whatever feels important to you, at your own pace.

I support adults and young people (16+) experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety and depression, workplace burnout, career stress, low self-esteem and self-doubt, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, low mood and changes in behaviour. I also work with those navigating the challenges of menopause, chronic pain and illness, visual impairment and blindness.

I am an Accredited RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) Counsellor and have extensive experience supporting individuals living with sight loss and visual impairment. I offer both time-limited and open-ended therapy to clients whose sight loss may be linked to chronic illness or traumatic life events, providing space to explore the emotional impact and life changes that can accompany these experiences.

Alongside my private practice, I work with The BRIT School in South London, offering time-limited therapy to young people navigating the often challenging transition into adulthood. Supporting young clients at this pivotal stage of life is deeply rewarding, and I feel privileged to offer a safe, empathic space where they can explore their worries, anxieties and concerns. My approach is always calm, kind and compassionate.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, dealing with unhelpful patterns, or simply curious to understand yourself better, therapy can help. Our work together is guided by you. We go at your pace, explore what feels right to bring, and create a confidential and empathic space where you can reflect and grow.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK’s leading professional body for counselling, ensuring that my work is ethical, safe and of the highest professional standard. Your trust, confidentiality and wellbeing are central to everything I do. I also hold enhanced DBS clearance and professional liability insurance.
